RetroAchievements
RetroAchievements gets the most out of the app: hardcore and softcore kept apart, subsets, leaderboards, events and the Achievement of the Week.
What the app gets from RetroAchievements
- Games: every game you have played, on every console. In “Discover” you can also browse all consoles and their games.
- Hardcore and softcore: progress, points and dates kept apart, plus your True Ratio, the weighted points.
- Achievements: name, description, icon, author, type (progression, missable, win condition) and the average time other players needed to unlock it.
- Rarity: the percentage of players who have an achievement, separate for hardcore and softcore, and who has unlocked it.
- Subsets: bonus and specialty sets show up as sets within the base game, with their own progress.
- Awards: beaten and mastered games, with the date.
- Leaderboards: a game’s leaderboards with your own rank, plus the latest players who mastered it.
- Discover: the Achievement of the Week, current and past events with their tasks, and the latest sets.
- Around the game: comments, open tickets for broken achievements, the supported game files with their hashes, who is working on a set, and a link to the forum.
- Playtime: your own playtime and the average times other players needed to beat and master the game, for hardcore and softcore.
- Friends: the players you follow. If you like, the app only shows those who follow you back. You can compare progress in a game, also per subset and in hardcore.

Connecting RetroAchievements
You need an account on RetroAchievements.org. The app works with your username and your Web API key. There are two ways:
- Login via RetroAchievements: you sign in on the RetroAchievements website. The app then reads your username and Web API key from your account settings.
- Enter manually: you enter your username and Web API key yourself. You find the key on retroachievements.org in your account settings.
Before saving, the app checks that it can load your profile with them. It never stores a password.
What RetroAchievements provides compared with the other platforms, and what it doesn't, is in the platform comparison.
